Ultrasonographer
Ark-La-Tex Veterinary Imaging, LLC, a leading provider of on-site diagnostic imaging services across the Ark-La-Tex region, is seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasonographer to join our dynamic, mobile veterinary imaging team. Located in Shreveport, LA, this contract or part-time position offers flexible scheduling.
As a Veterinary Ultrasonographer, you’ll perform high-quality abdominal ultrasound exams and echocardiograms in companion animals at general practices, specialty centers, and emergency hospitals. You’ll utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including the GE Vivid iq ultrasound system. Collaboration with board-certified radiologists and cardiologists is essential to finalize reports. Additionally, you’ll maintain equipment care and proper documentation of cases and occasionally assist with educational training sessions for veterinarians and technicians.
Experience in veterinary ultrasonography (small animal focus) is preferred, with RDMS, RDCS, LVT, RVT, or CVT certification. Proficiency in both abdominal and cardiac (echocardiographic) image acquisition is crucial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a willingness to travel to clinics within the region (mileage reimbursed). Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and a passion for advancing veterinary diagnostics are highly valued.

Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist
Ark-La-Tex Veterinary Imaging, LLC, a leading provider of mobile veterinary imaging and clinical ultrasound education, is seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist to join our team. Located in Shreveport, LA, this role offers both remote and on-site options. The ideal candidate is a Diplomate of the ACVR (or equivalent) with expertise in image interpretation and consultation services.
As our radiologist, you will collaborate closely with our ultrasonography team to interpret diagnostic abdominal ultrasound exams. When available, you will also review radiographic, CT, or MRI studies. This position is perfect for a radiologist who values diagnostic excellence, flexibility, and collaborative relationships with veterinarians in private practice.
Key responsibilities include interpreting ultrasound studies performed by our mobile sonographers, providing timely, clear, and actionable reports to referring veterinarians, consulting on advanced imaging cases (including radiographs, CT, or MRI), and communicating directly with veterinarians to support case management decisions. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to participate in continuing education content development or case-based teaching.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must hold a Board Certification (DACVR or an equivalent international credential). A strong background in small animal diagnostic imaging is essential, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
