Hagen Johnson, LVT
Hagen is a life-long resident of Shreveport, LA and has been in the veterinary field since 2003. He attended LSU where he studied Biological Sciences, he then sat for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) to become a licensed veterinary technician (LVT). He spent many years in general practice and emergency medicine, then moved to a small animal internal medicine specialty hospital. He went on to be trained by some of the nation’s top experts in veterinary cardiology, internal medicine, and radiology: Dr. Sonya Gordon, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology), June Boon, MS, Dr. Linda Luther, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), Dr. Tony Pease, DVM, DACVR. He worked as a mobile ultrasonographer in the DFW area and later with GE Healthcare Systems where he installed ultrasound systems and provided ultrasound education to veterinarians across the nation. Hagen has worked with companies such as Esaote sPA, based in Genoa, Italy where there are constant developments in the latest cutting-edge imaging solutions including Ultrasound, MRI and AI intelligence for both human and veterinary medicine which seeks to provide gold standard patient care across the world. Over the years, he has trained many primary care veterinarians and veterinary residents who are now veterinary specialists in the fields of cardiology, internal medicine, oncology and emergency and critical care, just to name a few. Hagen has provided lectures at various Symposiums worldwide sharing his love of imaging, his love of the huge role diagnostic imaging provides for his patients and sharing the exciting future of what is yet to come in the realm of patient care. In early 2019, Hagen saw the need for an imaging service that served local veterinarians and their patients and Ark-La-Tex Veterinary Imaging was created.
